Morning:

  • 9:00 AM: Meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Lalibela.
  • 9:30 AM: Visit the Bet Giyorgis Church. This is the most famous church in Lalibela and is one of the most impressive monolithic churches in the world. The church is carved out of a single piece of rock and is shaped like a Greek cross.
  • 11:00 AM: Visit the Bet Medhane Alem Church. This is the largest monolithic church in Lalibela and is also one of the most impressive. The church is carved out of a single piece of rock and is shaped like a basilica.
  • 12:30 PM: Enjoy a traditional Ethiopian lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:

  • 2:00 PM: Visit the Bet Amanuel Church. This church is known for its intricate carvings and paintings
  • 3:00 PM: Visit the Bet Danaghel Church. This church is known for its unique design, which features a number of underground chambers.
  • 4:00 PM: Visit the Church of Golgotha. This church is located on a hill and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
  • 5:00 PM: Return to your hotel in Lalibela.
