Day 1:
- Arrive in Addis Ababa and check into your hotel.
- Visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, which houses a collection of artifacts that tell the story of Ethiopia’s rich history and culture.
- Enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2:
- Drive to Awash National Park, one of the best birding destinations in Ethiopia
- Go on a birdwatching safari in the park and look for species such as the wattled ibis, black-headed ibis, and African spoonbill.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Day 3:
- Drive to Lake Langano, a shallow lake in the Rift Valley that is home to a variety of birds
- Go on a boat trip on the lake and look for species such as the African fish eagle, Egyptian geese, and pink-backed pelicans.
- Enjoy a sunset dinner on the lakeside.
Day 4:
Drive to Bale Mountains National Park, another excellent birding destination in Ethiopia.
- Go on a birdwatching safari in the park and look for species such as the Abyssinian ground hornbill, black-winged lovebird, and Ethiopian bush crow.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Day 5:
Depart from Bale Mountains National Park.
